Residential block exterior with police presence in Valencia

Six held after police shut down heroin and cocaine sales point

Police in Valencia have broken up an alleged heroin and cocaine sales point in the Malvarrosa area and arrested six people after searching a flat in the Casitas Rosas blocks.

The National Police said four men and two women, aged between 23 and 56, were detained as suspected offenders against public health. Officers seized 11.77 grams of heroin prepared in doses, two precision scales and almost €5,000 in cash.

Surveillance led to the raid

According to investigators, the inquiry began after officers from the Marítim police station detected what they described as continued drug dealing from the property. They then carried out several surveillance operations during September, focusing on the building and on people who regularly gathered nearby.

Police said those observations allowed them to establish a clear division of roles. The two women living in the flat were allegedly responsible for watching the entrance from the balcony, while the four men were said to have approached possible buyers and guided them to the supply point.

Officers also reported seeing customers spending only a few minutes inside the building before leaving the area. Once the investigation was complete, police entered and searched the flat.

Arrests inside and outside the building

The two women were found and detained inside the home, while the four other suspects were arrested outside the property. All six were later placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.

The operation comes amid long-running concern among residents about drug activity around the Casitas Rosas blocks, a housing complex in the city’s coastal district.
