Calls to emergency services rose 500% in Andalucia during Spain’s blackout – despite authorities pleading with the public to avoid unnecessary calls - CSN News

DURING Monday’s nationwide blackout, the Emergency Coordination Center (112) received more than 6,000 calls from Andalucia, five times the number of normal days.  The emergency center received 3,581 calls in the hour following 12pm.
