A narco-shooting leads to the discovery of a cocaine bunker containing a tonne worth of drugs in the woods near Marbella

The Police National discovered a bunker with a tonnage of guns and drugs after suspects fired on them in the woods around Marbella.

The agents found the first ‘drug hideout’ in Marbella and made four arrests in this recent operation, according to information obtained by Marbella Directo.

Describing the hideout as being ‘like a hidden cove’, Udyco (Unidad de Droga y Crimen Organizado) highlighted the significance of the underground spot where agents found 30 drug bundles containing 1,056kg of cocaine.

The drug stash was hidden in a bunker.

Officers discovered these drugs after becoming aware of a drug delivery near a residential area in Costa del Sol.

As soon as a vehicle was spotted heading to the beach surveillance was increased, and different exits of the Ricmar Forest were checked.

The vehicle reportedly continued moving through the area, with the intention of detecting any police presence.

Agents were about to leave the Las Chapas district of Marbella when they entered the Ricmar Woods. They found three people with submachine guns, including two.

These armed individuals were wearing Guardia Civil vests and hitting the third person with the aim of stealing drugs, in an act known as a ‘rip-off’ by police.

Afterwards, after a number of inquiries were made in the region, all four people involved in these events were arrested. Three of the four arrested are Moroccans and one is Spanish. They all have criminal records, and they are repeat offender.

The accused are brought before the courts for crimes including attempted murder, illegal weapon possession, crimes committed against public health and crimes against criminal groups.

Along with the long guns, considered to be weapons of war, three luxury vehicles were also seized.

The guns included an AK-47 submachine gun, an AR15 assault weapon and an UZI. Also confiscated were three handguns, as well as police equipment, communication gear, and frequency jammers.
