Antonio Banderas is the guest of honor at Marbella’s star-studded gala.

Fundacion Sierra Blanca hosted its third annual charity event at La Cabane Marbella on the 25th of June. Antonio Banderas was present as a special guest, for the third consecutive year.

Who attended the charity gala

Dani Garcia is a gifted chef, and has been since the gala’s inception in 2024. Lidia TTorrent was the host of the evening and Ingrid Betancor, a journalist, conducted the charity event. Business leaders, local officials and figures in sport and entertainment were among the guests.

What happens to the money raised at the event?

The funds raised at the event go to fund very special projects that are run by Fundacion Sierra Blanca or its partner organizations. This year’s beneficiaries were –

Caritas Marbella – poverty relief and social support
Ciudad de los Niños – care homes for children without stable family support
Despertar Sin Violencia – support for victims of domestic violence
Fundacion Gasol – founded by Pau Gasol, tackles childhood obesity through healthy habits
Fundacion Cesare Scariolo – founded by basketball coach Sergio Scariolo, supports children with cancer and their families
Fundacion Jose Luis Martin Lopez – funds scholarships and support for young people and vulnerable groups
Fundacion Lagrimas y Favores – Banderas’ own charity, funding university scholarships and social projects in Málaga

Bentley Marbella and Hospital Recoletas Salud Marbella were the sponsors of this event.

Previous successful galas

Fundacion Sierra Blanca’s first gala, held in 2024, raised more than and incredible €350,000. Its second, in 2025, raised more than €500,000 through an auction that included private dinners with Dani Garcia and sporting experiences with Rafael Nadal. Unknown is the final sum for 2026’s gala.

Mayor’s Praise

Marbella Mayor Angeles Muñoz thanked Banderas for attending and credited Pedro Rodriguez, president of the foundation, and his family for organising the event. She stated that participation and social impact has grown every year since the gala began.

Fundacion Sierra Blanca is the brainchild of the same family that created luxury property developer Sierra Blanca Estates. As in previous years, the gala included live music, surprise performance, and a drawing.
