Fans will be stepping out in their King of Rock and Roll attire. Blue Suede Shoes Opera Benalmadena is bringing back its hair to honor one of music’s most iconic icons on Saturday 11th, July.
The man behind show
Blue Angel is an actor from Malaga, Angel David Castillo Ortiz. His dedication and hard work to Presley’s catalogue have taken him beyond Spanish boundaries, with festival performances in Finland and the UK.
Castillo was rewarded in 2024 when he won the Porthcawl Elvis Festival, the largest competition of its kind anywhere in the world, on his very first try. His act has since been seen by a larger audience thanks to television appearances in Canal Sur, Telecinco, and La Sexta. The Devils in Disguise, a group of talented musicians, accompany him on stage with live music. The popular band has gigs already booked in Almeria as well Cordoba Granada Malaga for the remainder of 2026
A night of classics and costumes
Born in Tupelo in 1935, Presley rose to fame via Sun Records in 1954. In 1969, a Las Vegas residency revitalized Presley’s live career. In 1977, he died at Graceland. The 90-minute tribute is performed in English and all songs. It traces Presley’s life from Memphis to his Las Vegas residency. Costumes and lighting recreate the atmosphere from his most famous performances. Blue Angel’s band has performed a number of classics, including “Suspicious Minds”, Blue Suede Shoes”, and “My Way”.
Date, venue, and tickets
Tribute to Elvis takes place at Opera Benalmadena, Saturday, 11th of July, at 10pm. It is the perfect evening to enjoy a meal, followed by signing and dancing. Tickets start from €15 and are available via the venue website.
