The Hosteleria de España survey shows that though the Balaerics are the most pricey, the charge has not risen in the last year.

The head CAEB Restaurateurs Mallorca association has said that he does NOT expect to see a price increase in 2026.

Hosteleria de España says some price rises are justifiable due to inflation.

The CPI rate for Spain in September was at 3% and has seen a cumulative increase of 1.7% over the first nine months in 2025.

The price of food and drinks has increased by double digits every year.

Eggs (+17.9% on an annual basis), beef (+16.5%) and coffee (+19.9%).

This report highlights the rising costs of labour and rents, as well as the increase in electricity prices (+16.6 % in September).

Hosteleria de España says that ‘consumers are very sensitive to price increases, which limits the ability of businesses to increase them, which in turn cuts their profit margins’.

According to the National Institute of Statistics (NIS), restaurant profits dropped by 0.6% in August despite a rise of up 4% on turnover.
