Jorge Rey is a young meteorological genius who has used an ancient technique to predict weather patterns. He was able to forecast the entire month May for Spain, before AEMET could. Jorge Rey has predicted the arrival of instabilities across the nation, which may bring very strong storms to Spain during the month of May.

Jorge Rey’s May Day Bank Holiday weekend forecast

Jorge says that the May Day weekend bank holiday could bring a dramatic change in weather. From May 1 to May 3, Galicia, the Cantabrian Sea and the central part of Spain will be characterized by persistent rain. Cloudy skies and light showers are also possible. Weather will be mild in the southern region of the nation, with stability along the Mediterranean coastline.

Jorge Rey’s May weather forecast: Hot, humid, and instabilities

From May 4 to 6, a weak front from the west will move into Spain, bringing with it light rains in some parts of central Spain. A few raindrops are also predicted in the south, especially in western Andalucia. There will be some instability in the Mediterranean.

Around May 7, 8 and 9, large storms will develop inland in Iberia, especially across Castilla La Mancha and Madrid. The storms will then move to the Mediterranean coastline. Storms may become localized and strong, with some mild showers arriving in the north of the country.

Around May 13, weather conditions will improve in most parts of the country. Some areas in the south and centre will experience rising temperatures between May 14 and May 17. A cloudfront will move in from the west and affect the north, bringing some rain. It will also spread into the centre.

The weather will gradually improve in the south of Spain from May 18-22, as temperatures rise. There will be weak, but frequent, storms inland. This is especially true in mountainous areas, such as the central system or the Iberian System. Also, instability is expected in the Mediterranean.

Around May 23-27, the entire country of Spain will experience moderate temperatures and stability.

Around May 28-May 31, isolated, scattered thunderstorms are expected to occur in the inland. The rest of the nation is expected to be stable.
