Brand new competition worthy pump track, a fresh space planned for riders and skaters in Torremolinos

Torremolinos has a new, competition-worthy pump track planned. This is a space that riders and skaters can enjoy.

The new track will be a great treat for riders and skaters.

El Pinillo now has a new sporting space

The Torremolinos Town Hall confirmed that it plans to build a Pump Track next to the Javier Imbroda Sports Hall, on a plot of 4,000 square metres in El Pinillo. The project is located between Vicente Blanch Picot and Juan Rosa Mateo, as well as Pasaje Manuel Franco Cubeiro. The project has a base tender budget of €626,356.50.

The official statement of the town hall published by the council states that the facility is designed for non-motorized vehicles such as bicycles, skateboards, and scooters. It will include an asphalt main track with linked berms & rollers aimed at different age groups and abilities.

What will the project include?

The official details confirm the space will include a WaveRamp to surfskate and a mini-minibowl for beginners. There will also be pedestrian paths, landscaping areas, and rest zones. Plan also incorporates accessibility with a stepless approach and a plan that is shaped to fit the plot. The plan includes gravel-filled trenches and pits for sustainable drainage. Before the surface layers can be laid, the ground is compacted.

This is a brilliant addition to the area

The council says that the pump track was designed as a circuit for intermediate to advanced riders, which can be used by all levels of riders. However, it also meets the requirements for certification. This will allow for federated competitions to take place in the future. The town hall has also said that the track will conceptually connect with the pavilion.

The new pump track in El Pinillo will be a great attraction for local families, sports enthusiasts, and young riders. If the project is completed as planned, Torremolinos should have a new urban sports facility which has real competitive potential and appeal to a wide range of people.
