Santa’s coming to town on a Harley! Motorbike clubs don Santa outfits for the annual “Papanoelada” toy run

Santa’s on his Harley! Santa suits are worn by motorbike clubs for the annual “Papanoelada”, a toy run.

The Costa del Sol, in a show of community spirit and engine grease, is preparing for a roaring of engines. Biker Santa suits are being donned to collect toys for children who have been left behind.

Leading the charge, however, is the Moto Club Komando Amimoto‘s 11th Annual Toy Run in Torremolinos on Saturday, December 13. At 11am, scores of riders will gather in Plaza Blas Infante, outside the Town Hall. Many are wearing red suits with white beards. The convoy, which will be accompanied by Cruz Roja Torremolinos, will depart at noon with the touching slogan, “No Child Without a Toy”.

Tough bikers – warm hearts

What started in 2010 as a small gathering of motorcycle-loving friends has blossomed into a much loved tradition, now involving nearly 200 members who see their club as more than a hobby – it’s a family dedicated to giving back. One participant commented that “these tough-looking motorcycle riders have the softest of hearts.” “This toy may be the best part of their holiday for children who have been struggling.”

The event continues at the plaza, with live music until 3pm and a charity-bar where proceeds are used to purchase additional gifts. You can also donate via bank transfer at Banco Sabadell. (ES680081 0255 1800 0180 7089).

The coast is filled with goodwill. On Thursday, December 18, the Circle of Friends biker club from Fuengirola will ride the festive ride through the town’s streets – just listen for the roar and that distinctive two-stroke whiff as they collect toys. Later on that evening, at 6pm. Los Mentirosos bikers From Marbella, we will be cruising Marbella to San Pedro and turning heads and opening up hearts.

Buy something for less privileged children and listen to the roaring of 100 motorcycles.

These events in a region renowned for its sun, sea and sand remind us what the spirit of Christmas is all about: kind strangers working together to bring the magic of Christmas to every child.
