Artificial intelligence is a force that will not be stopped in the world of museums. The ability of artificial intelligence to create immersive, personalized and participatory experiences makes it an important tool for contemporary cultural strategies.
In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, Museo Ralli Marbella launched the educational curatorship Project. (i)realidades The temporary exhibition of the and its Memorias de la tierra. Leónidas Gambartes (Memories of the Earth by Leónidas Gambartes), where artificial intelligence becomes a creative ally. The goal is to integrate AI with a purposeful, conscious approach so that it becomes more than just another technological tool. It serves as a link that encourages dialogue, participation and curiosity between visitors and artworks.
(i)realidades invites visitors to reflect on the central themes running through the work of Leónidas Gambartes: Memory, territory, identity and ritual. The goal of this project is to promote collective learning by fostering collaborative creative practices. This framework includes the Tools for pedagogical useParticularly Artificial intelligence is used by many.. They are also invited to interact, creating a bi-directional exchange. Instead of simply collecting data or asking questions, these tools open up communication channels between the museum, visitors and the visitors themselves.
Virtual expert on Gambartes
There’s no one better to guide you than an expert. This is why the exhibition has a Virtual Expert This assistant will accompany visitors through their journey by answering their questions and providing them with insights that enhance their understanding of Gambartes work. This assistant knows everything about the artist and can recommend other digital content which enhances the experience.
By conversing, visitors can discover new layers and connections that allow them to experience Gambartes’ symbolic world on a more dynamic, personal level. The virtual expert can be accessed via QR codes in the gallery and on the project website.
Creating digital memories
A distinctive feature of the Collective memory muralThe tool is a participatory one that allows visitors to create their own visual memories with the help of artificial intelligence. It is as simple as describing the memory you would like to preserve and selecting one of three artistic styles. The resultant image becomes a collective mural which grows with every new contribution. It turns into a living archives of shared memories.
A museum that is always changing
A dedicated website supports the interaction of many participants in the project.www.museoralli.es/irrealidades/). The devices in the gallery can be linked directly to the site, making it a space that is constantly changing and evolving along with the project. This allows for real-time interactions. This virtual space is a repository of memories, processes and conversations that helps extend the project’s reach and community engagement beyond the physical setting.
This project includes interactive installations in the gallery as well as online. It also features a comprehensive educational program with activities for everyone. The project focuses on developing emotional ways of thinking by incorporating embodied practices and individual and collective artistic creation as well as shared and collaborative learning.
