Zadarma expands in Europe with acquisition of Malaga-based Megacall

European cloud communications leader Zadarma Megacall, an Malaga-based VoIP service provider, has been acquired by. Zadarma is making its second acquisition following the purchase of VoIPVoIP by Zadarma in 2024.

Zadarma, founded in 2006, operates in Europe, with offices in Bulgaria and the UK. It also has six data centers on three continents. This acquisition strengthens Zadarma’s European footprint, and its services for business clients.

Megacall clients can now benefit from new integrations and tools

Zadarma has confirmed that Megacall’s customers will experience a smooth transition, keeping their existing services and gaining new features such as:

  • AI-powered Speech Analytics and Advanced Call Insights
  • Virtual Phone Numbers in More Than 110 Countries
  • Cloud-based systems for business communication
  • Call tracking and reporting is built into the CRM tool.
  • RetellAI, Vapi and Zoho are just a few of the popular systems that can be integrated with.
  • Call or chat 24/7 for multilingual support

The merger brings together Megacall’s bespoke turnkey solutions and Zadarma’s self-service, flexible model. Small businesses and large enterprises can now benefit from greater adaptability when it comes to their communications setup.

Spanish clients: a smooth transition

Zadarma reports that Megacall customers did not experience any service interruptions during the transition. The new system is being upgraded gradually, with users benefitting from improved reliability, user-friendly screens and AI integrations that optimise operations.

Megacall, founded in 2008 by Phoenix Solutions SLU, has built a strong reputation in Spain for its community partnerships, including work with Aldeas Infantiles, Samaritans in Spain, and the José Carreras Foundation against leukaemia.

The merger will give locals and expats who own their own businesses in Spain access to advanced AI communication tools that were previously only available to large enterprises. The merger also strengthens Spain’s position as a hub for technology and business in the European VoIP and Cloud Communications sector.
