Alice Christmas at Malaga’s botanical gardens

This Christmas season, Malaga’s historic La Concepción Botanical Garden will become a dazzling dreamscape as it launches “Alice Christmas. La Navidad en el Jardín de las Maravillas”, an immersive light and sound spectacle inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.
From November 28 through January 6, this nightly event (open from 6.30pm until 10.30pm), transforms the garden’s hidden corners and paths into nine magical worlds with lights, music and famous characters like Alice, The Mad Hatter, White Rabbit and the Frozen Queen of Hearts.
This experience is produced by Grupo Mundo and combines the incredible botanical and historical heritage of the Garden with cutting-edge music, projections and lighting. The Ice Lake and Golden Heart Dome are highlights, creating a sensory experience of Christmas values, love, hope and togetherness. Tickets are more affordable this year, and accessibility is a major focus. The display is lit by low-energy LEDs, the sound level has been carefully managed to protect the flora, fauna and the historic site.
