Lark in the Park has returned to Benahavis

It’s back, bigger and more hilarious than ever. Lark in the Park is the annual event of the International Theatre Studio.

This outdoor charity event is held in Benahavis’ natural amphitheatre, Parque Torre Leonera. It is extremely popular among fans of the Studio. Past shows have included one‑act comedies such as Last Tango Benahavis The following are some examples of how to get started: The Val Hala Fashion ShowThe Del Sol Singers, Karen Danzig and Sam Oliver are among the local musicians performing.

Funds raised in previous years have supported charities such as Age Concern España and Aspandem.

What will happen this year?

The 2026 fundraising event takes place Sunday, June 7, with an exciting mixture of theatre, live music and entertainment.

The premiere of “The Fun Factory”, a brand new comedy written by ITS’ member Kate Jackson and directed by her, is this year’s crown jewel. The play draws on the true story of British music‑hall impresario Fred Karno, whose “Fun Factory” in Camberwell trained performers including Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel.

Following the performance, guests can enjoy live music and dancing led by Paul Hull, a popular Costa del Sol singer known for his multi‑genre acoustic sets and popular beach‑club and restaurant performances.
