Dance with Freedom Mijas charity show for JuegaTerapia: Helping kids with cancer

Charity Show Dance with Freedom Mijas: JuegaTerapia for Kids with Cancer

The talented students of the Dance with Freedom school, based at the El Zoco Centre in Calahonda, are preparing to take over the Teatro Manuel España on Sunday, November 23, at 5.30pm, for a special charity performance. This is a great opportunity to see local talent in action and to help a worthy cause.

The healing power of play: Why Juega Terapia requires your support

The whole performance was dedicated to raising vital funds for JuegaTerapia – a Spanish organization committed to improving children’s lives in hospital wards who are battling cancer. JuegaTerapia, a Spanish organisation that believes “the child who plays is the kid who recovers quicker,” provides games and activities to help transform hospital environments. Their amazing projects include turning unused hospital rooftops into beautiful ‘Gardens of my Hospital’ and creating stimulating ‘Lunar Stations’ to bring light, fun, and a sense of normalcy into the children’s routine.

Calahonda School students will show off their hard work and passion for dance. Guests can expect a diverse and captivating repertoire, ranging from graceful ballet to dynamic contemporary pieces, all performed under the banner of ‘Dance with Freedom’, a name that perfectly reflects the spirit of the charity they support. The commitment of the school goes beyond just teaching steps. It teaches compassion and community involvement, making this a highlight in Mijas’ cultural calendar.

How to get your tickets and make a difference: Just €7 for vital cause

Each ticket sold will help give these brave children a moment of joy and respite during their difficult treatment. This is a great opportunity to support a charity that really makes a difference while enjoying an amazing afternoon of dance.

Tickets for this heartwarming event are priced affordably at just €7. Get your seats at the Teatro Manuel España and help Dance with Freedom raise significant support for JuegaTerapia, ensuring more hospitalised children can experience the healing power of play.

The Teatro Manuel España is on Camino del Albero, 16, Las Lagunas de Mijas.
