Marbella beaches closed the month June with safety, after lifeguards carried out almost 1,500 operations on the coast. This is a significant improvement from the 2,600 recorded the year prior. According to the official figures, most actions were focused on prevention, giving warnings to beachgoers and sharing information, as well as minor assistance for visitors. by the local council.

Safety results that are excellent

The Lifeguard Service reported that there were no serious rescues of people in water throughout the whole month. Only nine minor cases were handled by teams, plus one moderate case. This shows that the sea was calm and supported thousands of beach visitors.

Data on the respect of flags

The beach was suitable for swimming most days. In 468 of the 570 sessions monitored, lifeguards displayed green flags. This is approximately 82 per cent. This high percentage is indicative of consistently good sea conditions and well-managed beaches, ideal for safe recreation.

Rescue Team Activities

During the period, 488 interventions were carried out by Salvage and Watch crews. Of the 488 interventions, 261 were direct advice given to swimmers. 132 were in response to yellow flag warnings. And 62 involved boat-based prevention.

Support Services in Action

The medical teams provided 388 health assistances, mainly for common problems such as jellyfish stings and cuts. Separately the staff handled 602 bylaw rule violations linked to local standards of coexistence. They included issues such as allowing dogs to be on the beach, swimming in boating zones and reporting litter.

Prepare for the peak season

The results from June are seen by local authorities as evidence that the beaches will be reliable and well-supervised for the busy summer months ahead. To maintain a high-quality and orderly coastline that attracts visitors year after year, the emphasis is on proactive measures as well as a seamless teamwork of rescue personnel.

Marbella continues its beach management strategy that puts the visitor’s wellbeing first. The popular Mediterranean coasts are enhanced by regular patrols and real-time updates. Families, solo travellers and couples can travel with more peace of mind when they know that comprehensive safety systems work every day. This month’s success sets the tone for the remainder of high season. Authorities are committed to maintaining these standards by continuing training and allocating resources.
