Costa del Sol to host Ibiza-style party

One of the most iconic club nights on the planet heads to  the coast this Friday, May 22. The coast is a great place for disco, house and funk fans to party. Glitterbox is the world-renowned party brand that was born from Defected Records and will be taking over Por Fin Beach Club in Estepona for its debut. Doors open at 5:00pm with the party lasting until 12am. 

What is Glitterbox?

Glitterbox, launched by Simon Dunmore in 2014, founder of house-music institution Defected Records has spent more than a decade raising the roofs. With its feel-good music, sequins, and feather boas as well as a fiercely accepting, judgment-free atmosphere. Over time, the brand gained its reputation from its long-running, Friday night residencies at Amnesia.

Who’s playing?

The Friday line-up has a lot to offer. Roger Sanchez, the Grammy Award winning New York house legend who remixed No Doubt’s Hella Good The winner of the 2003 Best Remixed Recording Award is celebrated as much for his UK Number One. Another Chance. Fat Tony is joining him, a London DJ who has been behind the decks for over 35 years, bestselling author of the Sunday Times, and a long-time Glitterbox resident whose A list admirers include Madonna, David Beckham, and others. Ella Knight completes the trio. She is a DJ and singer-songwriter whose soulful fusions between disco, garage, and Afro rhythms earned her sets at BoilerRoom, Fabric, and Glastonbury.

What’s next for Glitterbox Spain?

Glitterbox’s and Defected’s Spanish summer begins on Friday in Estepona. Glitterbox will be at Sonar Festival, Barcelona, on Saturday, 20th June, before Defected returns with Mele, DJ EZ and Eliza Rose to the Marbella arena on Friday, 26th June.
