Pensioner, 74, jumps from second-floor window in Marbella to escape woman who chopped off his fingertip over €200 drug debt

A pensioner who was tortured for a drug debt hurled himself out of an apartment window.

After a night filled with violence and captivity, the police claim that the 74-year-old man crashed into a car parked below on Friday, February 26.

Officers from the Policía Nacional later arrested a 35-year-old woman accused of tying the pensioner to a chair, beating him and slicing off the tip of one of his fingers.

Investigators claim that she was a co-conspirator with a male in a drug dispute which quickly escalated into a brutal ordeal.

The victim was allegedly attempting to get narcotics from the flat when he was restrained and assaulted.

The police report that the two men shaved off his hair, assaulted him, and even drenched in a flammable fluid while threatening him with setting him ablaze.

All of it, officers believe, was over a debt of just €200.

The terrified pensioner was injured and waited until he felt distracted before deciding to jump.

He fell out of the window on the second floor, landing on a car that was parked below the building. The vehicle saved his life, but he suffered multiple fractures.

A passerby found the injured man on the street and called emergency services.

The case was quickly taken over by Marbella’s homicide unit, which identified the suspected attackers.

The woman was placed in custody after being accused of illegal detention as well assaults and crimes against the moral integrity.

She was unable to find her alleged accomplice for several days, during which time police tried to locate him.

Officers said the shocking episode highlighted how a minor drug bill spiralled into an extreme night of violence that almost cost a retiree his life.
