Landslide brings Ojen-Marbella road to a halt as weather chaos continues

As the weather continues to be chaotic, a landslide has brought Ojen-Marbella Road to a standstill.

A LANDSLIDE stopped traffic and blocked the entrance to Ojen, and Marbella.

A landslide blocked the A-7103 and forced motorists to use alternative routes to reach Ojen or Marbella.

The Policia Local have cut off the road on the El Castañar roundabout and is coordinating action upon advice received by Andalucia’s 112 emergency services line.

For those who are aiming to enter Ojen and exit Marbella, they can reach their destination by using the Los Caracolillos area or the sports centre.

Local Ayuntamientos have warned that extreme weather continues to create havoc on the roads.

Consejeria de Fomento y Articulacion del Territorio y Vivienda, who will be determining when the cleaning and repair can begin, has received the news of the landslide.

As the project progresses, authorities will continue to share information.

The road’s reopening is subject to a reevaluation in light of safety conditions.
