Just a few days remain until the official start of the holiday season in Costa del Sol. The La Cala de Mijas Lions Club has announced the return to its popular “Very Merry Christmas Market”.
On Sunday, November 30th, 2025, at 11am, the event will be held in Butibamba Park, which is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. All attendees are entitled to free entry. The Lions are promising the largest market to date, featuring more than 50 stalls with handmade crafts and Christmas decorations as well as jewellery, gifts, and other unique items.

The market is not just about shopping. It’s a family event that lasts all day. The day will be filled with live music and entertainment, providing the perfect soundtrack for the festivities. The traditional holiday treats, such as mulled wines and mince pies, will be available.
Father and Mother Christmas will be in attendance to greet children and receive their wish lists.
La Cala Lions Club, a renowned club on the Costa del Sol, is known for its dedication to those who are most in need. It supports local initiatives, such as diabetes testing, elderly support, and welfare projects. The money raised by every purchase at the market and any donations made directly contribute to the Lions’ mission to “Serve our Community With Strength, Vision and Compassion.”
The Foreigners Department of Mijas Townhall has always generously supported the Christmas Market. It is an important community event that brings together residents from around the world for one common goal: to make a difference during the Christmas season.
