From November 28-30, the much-loved International Christmas Festival returns Arroyo de la Miel at Plaza de la Mezquita.
The Costa del Sol’s most multicultural celebration of Christmas returns on the last weekend in November. The 16th Festival Internacional de la Navidad opens the festive season, and transforms Plaza de la Mezquita at Arroyo de la Miel in a global village for everyone to get into the holiday spirit.
The three-day festival, which runs from Friday, Nov. 28, to Sunday, Nov. 30, will be open every day from 12pm until midnight. Entry is free for all.
Live acts and stalls representing multiple nationalities
The town is home to a diverse range of nationalities, which will be represented by Chile, Ukraine and Colombia as well as the United States. Germany, Finland and Scotland will also be present, along with many others. They will showcase how Christmas in their respective countries are celebrated through authentic food, handcrafted gifts, traditional music and dances. Festival-goers can enjoy everything from German stollen to Colombian Empanadas to Ukrainian festive treats, while also enjoying the non-stop performances based on Christmas.
Some of the acts lined up to play on the main stage include the Costa Sol Singers, Tony Whitehouse, Sur Pipes Band, Wayne Ward, New Tricks, and Mama Cath & the Soul Singers. There will also dance performances
In its sixteenth season, the International Christmas Festival It is a favourite event on the Costa del Sol and it’s much cheaper than going to Malaga centre for a Christmas celebration. This holiday season kicks off before the December celebrations begin.
