THE Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George has kicked off its festive fundraising in style, collecting €1,490 at a glamorous fashion evening held at Kinsales in Duquesa Port.

Volunteers from the Saint George Boutique, Sabinillas organised the event. The crowds were eager to watch locals perform. Volunteer models of every age, shape, and size, including men and women, took the catwalk in order to display a carefully selected selection of mid and high-end clothing from the boutique. A pop-up boutique beside the runway lured guests with stylish bargains. Each euro went to the charity’s 2025 campaign.

The charity posted a heartfelt thank you on its Facebook page to all who contributed to the success of the event: the models, volunteers, Kinsales, local businesses that supported the evening, the audience and those who donated pre-loved clothing throughout the year in support of ongoing fundraising.

One fashion show participant commented. “Amazing performance with beautiful people. I am very proud to be part of the Saint George Charity boutique family.”

The fashion show helped to promote Saint George’s Christmas campaign. This includes the Children’s Gift Campaign as well the Estepona Christmas Dinner and the Feed a Family Initiative.

This year’s target is to raise at least €20,000 through a programme of seasonal events and community activities. Fundraising is also taking place online at GoFundMe – St George Xmas Appeal 2025, where the campaign has reached €6,062 of its €8,000 target.

The Smuggling Raisins Cold Water Swimming Club also supports the campaign. Their hardy members organized a Boxing Day charitable swim to support the campaign. The dip takes place at 10 a.m. on Boxing Day at Playa del Cristo, Estepona, with swimmers asked to donate €10 and wear something suitably Christmassy. The Smuggling Raisins Cold Water Swimming Club has more details for interested participants. Facebook.
