UK mum launches jewellery workshop business on the Costa del Sol

UK mum opens jewellery workshop on Costa del Sol

A London-born mum of two is bringing creativity and calm to the Costa del Sol through her new business, Jewels & Matcha.

Andrea, who has lived in southern Spain for six years, has more than twenty years of experience working in the fashion and accessory industry. She now offers relaxed and friendly workshops where participants can design their own jewellery using semi-precious stones, freshwater Pearls, gold or silver plated chains, and other materials.

Workshops are held in Estepona and San Pedro. New locations will be opening in Sotogrande, Mijas, and Sotogrande soon. Each session lasts two hours and offers a complete creative retreat, including simple design techniques with guided tuition. A complimentary drink is also provided.

Andrea explains that the project is about much more than jewelry. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with creativity, meet new friends, and slow down in a tranquil setting.

Each session starts with a relaxed atmosphere, soft music, a glass of wine, and beautiful materials that are ready to be transformed. By the time guests leave, they have their own handcrafted accessory as well as a chance for relaxation and creative time.

Workshops run weekly, typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with updates shared through the Jewels & Matcha newsletter.

On Sunday, November 23, from 3pm-5pm, a special workshop will be held at Manuka, CC Plaza del Mar in Marbella. This is a great way for creative people to end the weekend.

Andrea adds a festive touch to her workshops as December approaches. Guests can create personalised Christmas gifts or decorative items for the season. Bookings for private and corporate events are available. This is a great option for team building, celebrations or creative get togethers.

The venture is part of a growing wave of UK ‘mumpreneurs’ finding inspiration along the Costa del Sol, offering lifestyle, wellness, and creative experiences for both locals and visitors. Jewels & Matcha fits perfectly into this trend, combining artistry with wellbeing and encouraging people to take a break from busy routines.
