In the south of Spain a man kills his mother, and then surrenders himself to police

On Friday, October 3, a man confessed to killing his mother in Brenes, a town in Seville.

Police opened an investigation immediately after discovering the woman’s dead body in her home. Autopsy results are pending and will reveal the cause and time of death. As of now, no theory has been ruled in or out.

The news of the tragedy left Brenes in shock, according to Mayor Jorge Barrera. He declared a day of sorrow and sent his condolences and prayers to the family and friends of the victims.

According to Mayor Hernández, the suspect remains in custody while he awaits trial. The police investigation is continuing.
