Valencia area recorded gusts of up 111 km/hour when the yellow weather warning was issued.

This Thursday, large parts of Valencian Community will be on yellow alert due to strong winds.

Avamet (Valencian Association of Meteorology) provided figures that showed the biggest gusts exceeded 110 km/h by midday.

Castellon has reported the highest gusts with four of the top figures.

Olocau del Rey was the fastest at 111 km/h. Rosell, Xert, and Vilar de Canes were next.

The north coast of Alicante province and the L’Alacanti area have experienced gusts of up to 90 km/h.

On Thursday morning, 92 km/h winds were recorded at the Avament station in Vall d’Ebo, with Xixona registering 90 km/h.

Denia City Council closed all parks and facilities after reports of falling trees.

Denia Policia Local has sealed off Jaume I, where a palm fell.

Torrecremada and the castle were also closed to public access.
