These are the best Christmas markets to visit across Andalucía's eight provinces this 2025

Christmas As the holiday season approaches, towns and cities are decked up for the occasion. Many people decorate their homes at this time of the year.

Andalucía The city has a number such markets that are becoming increasingly popular. These markets are also tourist attractions, since what they offer is rare and not available anywhere else. The unique way in which these events are celebrated at each location also gives the market a distinct character.

Almeria

Almeria’s Rambla will be home to the Christmas market this year, with 77 stalls. There will be crafts of all kinds on sale – woodwork, pottery, knitting, crochet and more – plus food stalls selling everything from waffles (gofres) and fritters (buñuelos) to different nougats (turrones).

These stalls open on 2 December and close on 8 January. A rink is located at the Mirador De La Rambla.

Cadiz


Since 20 years, the Cadiz Craft Fair has been the centre of Christmas activities in the city. The main focus is on crafts and the event has become one of the most important in the region. In Plaza de la Catedral it is located in a perfect location. It has over 20 stalls with handmade goods and decorations. The pieces are all original. The exhibition is open till 6 January.

Cordoba

Plaza de las Tendillas in Cordoba hosts a medieval-style Christmas market. It also features a large traditional Christmas tree, as well as lights and garlands that are more typical for the holiday season.

The Asociación Cultural Belenista organises the event and so figures from the traditional nativity scene (belén) are the main items on display and on sale at around 20 stalls. There are also handcrafted and gourmet items, sweets for Christmas, toys, and much more.

The market will remain open until the 6th of January 2026.

Jaén


Jaen city’s Christmas market runs from the end of Calle Roldán y Marín to Plaza de la Constitución, one of the city’s central hubs. The market offers a wide range of activities that combine leisure, culture, and gastronomy. The stalls are a mix of retail and crafts, selling gifts, Christmas decorations and other products. There are also activities for the children to experience the magic and wonder of Christmas. Musical performances, entertainment and other events will be held at different times. There’s also the traditional Christmas cuisine with sweets, drinks, and flavours. Plus, there are cultural and recreational events and activities that make the city center come alive for over a whole month.

Granada


Nasrid Capital has two important Christmas Markets. The best-known market is in Plaza de Bib-Rambla. This historic city centre square has a long history. Granada’s nativity markets has around 30 stalls that sell traditional nativity items and products. But the market also has Christmas decorations and handicrafts as well as sweets and other seasonal products.

This market is located in Plaza Fuente de las Batallas near the Cathedral. Handcrafted items dominate this market, including nativity sets, gift items and traditional foods.

Both will be open from 1 December to 6 January, 2026.

Malaga


Calle Larios is a landmark in the capital of Costa del Sol that draws more tourists every year.

It also features one of the best-known Christmas markets in Andalucía, located at Pier One (Muelle Uno), overlooking the Mediterranean and close to Malagueta beach. European Best Destinations, in 2022, ranked it as one of the 20 best European Christmas markets.

The Christmas market has become a great place to buy Christmas gifts because of its variety. This area is a fusion of handcrafted items, Christmas figurines, and toys. The Snow Village and Winter Games for the children are often set up next to it. It will remain open until the 5th of January 2026.

The other Malaga Christmas market is the one in the town of Benalmádena and is one of the best-known Christmas markets held outside the provincial capitals. The market is situated in Arroyo de la Miel. There are a number of different stalls as well as children’s games and activities.

The wooden stalls are located on Avenida de la Constitución, opposite the Casa de la Cultura, selling all kinds of original and handmade gifts and of course Christmas decorations, figurines and supplies for nativity scenes. The market begins with a Christmas parade, the switch-on of the lights and the opening up of the children’s play area. The Christmas market will be open from 1 Dec 2025 until 7 Jan 2026.

Huelva


The Huelva Christmas Market is located in Plaza de las Monjas. It is open from 5 January. The 20 wooden stalls are divided into 18 different categories, including Christmas decorations, food, and crafts. The remaining two wooden stalls will be Santa’s House as well as the Royal Post Office, where children can deliver their letters to Three Kings.

Seville


Seville’s Christmas markets are a big part of what draws people into the city every year.

This fair has been around for more than 30 years. Seville’s nativity tradition is so strong that there is a walking route dedicated to it. You can find different pieces to create your own nativity scene in this market. They come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. This market is located between Cathedral and Archivo de Indias.

It is worth noting that the other market, which has been set up in the Jardines de Cristina and includes around 80 stands with wooden booths selling all types of handicrafts including leather, woodwork ceramics soaps perfumes and clothing by local, international and national artisans. The market is open between 5 December 2025 and 5 January 2026.
