The Clubhouse in Banus has hosted all the big sporting events over the last year… and as it reaches its first birthday, things are only just beginning

All of this began last year with the Euros.

The Clubhouse could not have chosen a better launch month than a dream final that brought together Spain and England.

The dream of having hundreds of supporters in every European nation during the four-week tournament and keeping the two most important countries until the end came true.

A night when the great and the good of the Costa del Sol was present – as well famous names in the world of football, including former England striker Wayne Rooney – the sports bar has just gone from strength to strength since then.

The Clubhouse, located below the popular La Sala Restaurant in Puerto Banus and promising to show virtually any football game, also shows all major cricket, rugby, golf, and other sporting events.

You can watch the British Lions, the Championship Play Off Final, or the US Masters.

This sports bar is unique. With dozens of seating options and more screens than you can count, it’s a place that will make your day.

The luxurious 900 m² space has a multi-million investment and boasts cutting-edge top-of-the-range Trackman golf simulators, advanced Dartsee dartboards, and over 50 TVs equipped with Zapping technology.

A self-serve Mahou Beer system has been introduced, which allows guests to fill their glasses right at their tables. Valet parking is available for free.

The restaurant shares its kitchen with La Sala, a 15-year old award-winning restaurant.

You can be sure of the highest quality, whether you want a simple pizza baked in their Napolitano oven or something more complex.

The sports bar opened in June of last year, with champagne, fire dancers and former Premiership footballers who invested in the business.

Harry Winks now plays for Leicester City.

Spurs legend David Bentley is at The Clubhouse

The Aces were there to get the party started.

Winks is a 28-year-old regular visitor to Marbella. He told Olive Press, “I love Marbella. This place is going be amazing.” “I am only a small investor, but I know it will pay off.”

David Bentley also added: “This sports facility is the first of its kind in Marbella. It’s fantastic to be here, and still involved.”

Paul Robinson, Chris Hugues, and TV pundit Alex Scott were also in the house.

La Sala boss Ian Radford, told Olive PressIt was a close call whether it would be finished in time for Euros but we managed to get it done.

The year has sped by. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect start.

The Sala Group, in conjunction with its first-ever anniversary, has also become the official hospitality partner of the Costa del Sol Festival.

The festival runs from until August 22, and is right next door at the Marbella Arcade. There are a number of live shows, including tribute performances for Queen, The Beatles and Michael Jackson.

All festival ticket-holders will receive the exclusive Elevate loyalty reward from Sala Group as part of this partnership. This includes a credit of 20 euros for drinks before or following any show at Clubhouse plus a discount of 10% at all Sala Group locations, including La Sala by the Sea.
