St George’s Church, Malaga invites you “to tartan yourself up” to its first fundraising event in 2026: A traditional Burns Night meal on Saturday, 24 January.
At this event celebrating Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns (author of Auld Lang Syne), guests will enjoy a three course meal that includes haggis from Scotland imported directly, as well as tatties neeps cranachan.
Inside the church, guests will enjoy poetry, bagpipes, dancing and whisky. Guests are encouraged wear tartan.
Burns Night celebrates the birthday of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns born in 1759. Robert Burns, who was born in 1759 and died in 1896 at age 37, is regarded as one of the most important Scots-language poets.
The bar opens at 7.30pm, and dinner is served at 8pm. Tickets cost 60 Euros and can be ordered via St George’s’ website. www.stgeorgesmalaga.com/events.
