AEMPS, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), has recalled from the market a batch Alma Secret’s Waterproof Soothing Eye Makeup Remover due to the potential risk of infection. It is specifically batch 118354.
AEMPS monitors cosmetics regularly. A laboratory report found that the product contains an excessive amount (of bacteria, yeasts, or moulds) of aerobic and Mesophilic microorganisms. These organisms can be harmful to people who have health issues and weak immune systems.

Alma Secret responded by submitting an analysis report whose results showed that the lot was compliant with the limit. AEMPS launched an investigation because the value is above the limit.
