The Andalucía region has seduced those who pull the strings of the UK travel industry with culture, flamenco and fashion. About 150 professionals gathered at Christ Church Spitalfields on Wednesday. This Anglican Church was built between the years 1714-1729, and is famous for its English Baroque Architecture. The Andalusian delegation in London organized the event with the aim of attracting 70 British company representatives, operators, airline and intermediary representatives.

In his speech, regional minister of tourism Arturo Bernal said that Andalucía wins over so many people for its diverse offer, which was presented at the event: from a flamenco fashion show organised by designers such as Rocío Peralta, Lourdes Montes, Rocío Terry and the Cátedra Internacional de Moda Flamenca to a flamenco performance.

Later in the evening Andalusian food was at the forefront, providing a relaxed atmosphere and networking possibilities. In the evening, it was announced the next conference of ITT (the main association for the British tourism sector) would be held in Malaga province. This event will bring together over 300 professionals. ITT, founded in 1956, “is the benchmark for talent development and education”. The Malaga event will focus on innovation, sustainability, and global trends. It will also be used to promote the British operator’s interest in the region and strengthen commercial links.

The Andalusian delegaion also met with Turkish Airlines, Edreams Edelweiss Soltour, Avoris and Avoris on the second day of WTM. The goal of regional representatives to seduce London has been achieved as the best stand was awarded by the fair’s organisers.
