This time they’re hosting an “English Tea” pre-Christmas party to benefit the Alzheimer’s Dementia Support Group Mijas Costa. A cause that affects many expats families along the Costa del Sol.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10 at 11am in the Alhaurin Golf Clubhouse. This will be a great opportunity to take a break from the holiday rush and relax with some northern European comforts under the winter sunshine.
Tea and cake party in the community
Sasha’s Bakery will be providing attendees with unlimited tea, coffee and generous Victoria sponge cakes, along with freshly baked scones topped off by jam and clotted crème. At just €15 per person, the ticket price includes a copy of the Support Group’s beautiful 2025 Christmas fundraising calendar (which retails independently for €15), meaning every single euro raised on the day goes straight to helping local people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia and their carers.
The limited edition calendar is already receiving praise for its practical design and cheerful layout. All profits will stay local and fund activities in Mijas Costa and the surrounding area, including Fuengirola and Benalmadena.

For those who can’t make the tea party but still want to enjoy a taste of traditional cakes and biscuits at home, Sasha’s Bakery is also offering English Tea Party Boxes for €25. Each box contains six slices of Victoria sponge and six scones with jam and cream. They are perfect to share or give as a thoughtful Christmas gift.
