Moraga Madness brings traditional beach celebration to an international crowd in Marbella for charity

Moraga Madness is a beach party that brings international people to Marbella in order to raise money for charity

The Rotary Club Marbella-East is inviting locals as well as everyone else in the area to take part in their first Moraga Madness International, an introduction to summer on Costa del Sol.

Moraga Madness will be held on the 4th of June by the Rotary club of Marbella East. This event kicks off the summer beach party with food, drink and live entertainment on Playa del Cable.

What makes a Moraga Special?

A classic Andalucian custom from the Malaga area, a moraga is a nighttime barbecue. The participants gather at night for a barbecue on the beach, where they enjoy grilled sardines on espetos, and local food, while enjoying music and conversation. Families, friends and colleagues celebrate the first days of summer in advance of the heat. The gathering is about bringing people together through simple pleasures like sand and sea, as well as great company.

Rotary Clubs are dedicated to charitable work

Rotary clubs around the world support important projects that help improve lives locally and globally. Members raise funds to support health initiatives, education programs, clean water access, and efforts to alleviate poverty. Each contribution contributes to the community and international goodwill by promoting service through practical actions.

Organisers chose Playa del Cable, located behind Quirón Hospital, for easy access with parking nearby. The first international moraga will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets are 60 euros each, and all proceeds go directly to the Rotary Club charity fund.

Moraga Madness: how to secure a place

Participants can pay via Caixabank by transferring the IBAN ES952100904415020009 7118 to Rotary Club Marbella East International. The concept field is where people enter “Moraga” and their name. Further details come from email massimilianosponzilli@gmail.com or WhatsApp +39 333 407 2161.

This event offers a taste of Costa del Sol’s real culture, while also supporting important causes. Enjoy traditional food and entertainment in the early summer before the hotter months arrive. This special beach gathering brings together families, locals and tourists to create lasting memories.
