An 82-year old man entered a Formentera home illegally and repeatedly to smell the female tenants’ underwear.
A Palma Court accepted a plea bargain agreement to suspend for two-years a 15 month jail sentence for breaking in.
He also has to make a €2,500 compensation payment to each of the three women.

The Prosecutor’s office initially wanted to jail him for two years due to an illegal entry.
Private prosecutions demanded more than four years in prison by adding a crime of harassment.
The apartment was located at Cala Saona within the municipality of Sant Francesc Xavier on Formentera.
The pervert’s wife was the landlord of the apartment. He had access to the apartment at all times.
The man admitted to entering the apartment illegally on several occasions in January 2024 via video link.
He waited until the tenants went to work, and then searched for underwear that belonged to them.
They became suspicious if they saw that the clothing was disturbed or moved.
The Guardia Civil reported that the women installed a surveillance camera system in order to confirm what had happened.
The tenants reviewed the video and found the suspect rummaging in the laundry basket, smelling the items.
