La Cala de Mijas Lions, a local group, are preparing their stalls for the Summer Fair and Fashion show that will be held in the town this Sunday.
Free entry to the event begins at 11am, in Butibamba’s park in La Cala. More than 40 artisan stands will be there to tempt you this year with their unique handmade items, jewellery, crafts, boutique items and other items that are not available on the high street. A glamorous fashion parade will be presented by Lions volunteers, featuring stylish clothing and seasonal outfits from the charity’s shop. All items can be purchased on the day.
Phoenix singers bring a new sound
Entertainment during the fair will include performances from Phoenix Singers, the popular choir from near Alhaurin el Grande and Coin, known for their music and regular appearances supporting charity events and community fundraisers.
Phoenix Singers is a group of singers from various nationalities who live in the area. They perform modern harmony arrangements for pop, musicals and classics. The choir is known for its charity fundraising. The choir is often seen raising money for local groups, animal rescue organizations and other charities.
