Johnny Logan, three-time winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, will perform on the Costa del Sol in April as part of his current European Tour. Tickets for the Easter Sunday concert (4 April) at Club Med Magna Marbella are now available.
The concert will take audiences on a tour of the long career of the Australian-born Irish musician, singer and songwriter, who began in 1979 when he attempted to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest. The Connaught Telegraph readers voted him Ireland’s Best New Male Artist in that same year, even though he came third with his song Angie at the Irish National Final.
Logan is best known for a mix of Celtic and Pop music. He won Eurovision in both 1980 and 1987. Logan won the Eurovision in 1980 and 1987 for his mix of pop and Celtic music. He also composed the winning song for Ireland (Why Me?)
Hold Me Now became a big European hit after his 1980 triumph with What’s Another Year (voted third in Eurovision’s history), and reached number 2 in the UK charts.
Logan continued recording and touring, earning his place as Ireland’s most popular singer. His popularity grew throughout Europe, but especially in Scandinavian nations.
Tickets for the Marbella concert that starts at 7pm are available in a variety of packages.
