The PRINCESS Leonor, along with her parents, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and her sister Infanta Sofia, was the center of attention during the Carmen Day Military Ceremony at the Spanish Naval School.
Leonor arrived in Marin a full year ago for her Naval Training, after graduating the General Army Academy of Zaragoza.
Leonor graduated from the Naval School on Wednesday with a second-year midshipman rank. Her busy week was rounded off with a prestigious prize.














The Xunta of Santiago awarded the Galicia Gold Medal to the Princess on Monday. She was also named the honorary daughter Marin by the Town Council.
The day began with the formation on the parade ground of the Naval School, with Leonor as part of the third brigade.
Following the arrival of the Royal Family, Defence Minister Margarita Roles, and Galicia President Alfonso Rueda the Grand Cross of Naval Merit was presented with a white emblem. Leonor was personally decorated by the King, and then moved up to the front of the line with the rest the royal family.
King Felipe was dressed in his full Admiral uniform while Leonor wore her summer midshipman outfit. Letizia wowed in a stunning blue dress with white trim and a V neck, paired up with matching sandals. Infanta Sofia went for navy trousers paired with a crisp white shirt.
The ceremony was attended by top military and civilian officials from Marín and Galicia, including Miguel Santalices, President of the Galician Parliament, Pedro Blanco, Government Delegate in Galicia, and María Ramallo, Mayor of Marín, along with diplomats from Colombia, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia.
A total of 86 midshipmen including seven females took the oath, followed by a total of 130 new Navy officers of which 20 women. A special section of the ceremony honoured Saudi officers who completed their military training in Marín, part of the ongoing friendship between the two nations.
