Ikea recalls a number of electrical products due electric shock risks – CSN News

Ikea announced that it was withdrawing several products because of a manufacturing mistake, which could lead to an electric shock.

These fairy lights are from the following lines: Ledljus, with its 24 and 64 lights, Soomarlanke (12 multi-coloured bulbs), Strala (48 light), Svartra (12 lights), and Utsund (24) lights. The Sommarlanke 100 cm LED floor lamp and Strala LED lighting shades (48 lights) are also recalled. The affected LED controller is the ICPSH24-2IL-1 and the affected plug is SYK02F.

According to the Swedish multinational, the problem is the plugs of these products do no comply with relevant safety standards to limit the entrance of water.

If you have one of these models at home, simply return it to any shop of the company for a refund. You do not need to show a receipt.

Ikea also offers a free customer service hotline at 900-400922 for anyone with questions or doubts.
