Aemps, the Spanish agency for medicines and healthcare products, has issued a warning after becoming aware that counterfeit Durex condoms were being sold in an establishment in Barcelona. Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare S A is the distributor of the company in Spain. They confirmed that these products were not authentic because they used outdated batch numbers.
Check the expiration date and batch number on the bottom of the carton to identify the item. If you are unsure, call the Spanish distributor at 900 456-467. If you suspect that you’ve been sold a fake product, please notify Aemps via email to pscontrol@aemps.es. Include the name of the company who supplied the product.
