Fuengirola Semana Blanca Camp promotes learning by play

Fuengirola Town Council announces a new edition to its Municipal Semana Blanca School. The initiative is a childcare initiative that helps families balance family and work life during Semana Blanca. The programme will run from 23 to 27 February at the Tenencia de Alcaldía de El Boquetillo and is aimed at children aged 3 to 12.

Supporting work–life balance in Fuengirola

Councillor for Education Carmen Díaz explained that the initiative responds to strong demand following the success of the Christmas holiday camp. Semana Blanca Camp in Fuengirola offers parents a childcare option that is reliable, while also offering their children a structured and fun environment.

Málaga se Juega: learning through play

This year’s programme is themed “Málaga se Juega”, an educational camp focused on learning through play. Organisers Vaiana Espacio Infantil y Familiar have designed a wide variety of activities that introduce children to the culture, history, and geography of the Málaga province. Play-based learning is a great way to help children retain their knowledge, while also developing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Discovering Málaga’s comarcas

Throughout the week, children will explore Málaga’s different regions, including the Axarquía, the Costa del Sol and Ronda, through interactive games, creative workshops, and group challenges. The programme also includes activities in nearby sporting facilities that ensure children remain active while they learn.

Schedule, registration and facilities

The camp runs between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. An optional early morning service in the classroom is also available. Classrooms, an Assembly Hall, the Lope de Vega Library and nearby sporting venues are available at the Elola compound. The price is €60 for Fuengirola residents, and registration is open until 6 February via: www.vaianaespacioinfantilyfamiliar.com/semanablanca

Fuengirola is committed to providing quality education, enriching experiences and family support for children in the school holidays. It provides a unique combination of local exploration and learning. This makes it one of most anticipated programmes in the region.
