Dacia, a Spanish automaker that has seen its vehicle prices soar in recent years, has announced a bold new initiative designed to help commuters. The Dacia CareMakers program is designed to assist individuals who struggle to afford a car. This innovative move will help facilitate employment in Spain.
The car is a vital tool for employment
For many, cars are a necessity to travel from and to work. This is especially true in rural areas that have little or no access to public transport. Recent statistics reveal that 67% of the population still rely on their private cars to commute. This makes personal mobility vital for maintaining employment and job security.
The rising costs put a strain upon the workforce. In the last 15 years, the average cost of a new car has increased by 38%, while household income has only increased by 21%. Many households are priced out by this disparity.
Dacia CareMakers programme
Dacia CareMakers has taken significant steps to ease commuters’ stress by creating a supportive mobility programme to help those who are vulnerable access employment.
CareMakers is a mobility support initiative developed by Dacia Spain in partnership with Fundación Renault Group España, Mobilize Financial Services, its dealer network, and a growing group of charitable associations. The goal of the initiative is to help people in vulnerable circumstances or who may be at risk for social exclusion own a car, so they can access job opportunities that otherwise might not have been available.
Finance plans that make it affordable to buy a car
With this program, individuals who are eligible can get a new car through a loan that offers multiple options over a period of three years, with no deposit. These loans come with preferential conditions and maintenance is included. This initiative offers the potential for much lower monthly payments than conventional financing, in some reported cases as low as around €40–€100 per month, depending on model and conditions.
The best-selling Dacia model, the Sandero, is available as well as the Dacia Spring – an electric variant that matches certain government subsidiaries.
Mobility is important
Dacia’s presentation of the scheme highlighted the fact that the lack of transport is a major barrier for many people to find work. They are forced to reject jobs because they do not have the transportation to get to them. A competitive vehicle can reduce travel times and make it easier to access a variety of jobs.
The need for a vehicle is not a luxury, but a necessity. Dacia’s CareMakers program offers crucial financial advantages and creates new job opportunities.
