British youngster dies after ‘deliberate hit-and-run’ while riding bike in Spain’s Canary Islands

A YOUNG British man has died on Tenerife following a suspected hit and run while riding his bicycle.

Harry was the victim of the accident. He was cycling on Arona’s southern municipality, popular for its holiday resorts, when he fell off his bicycle.

Locals raised the alarm at 8pm Monday night, and emergency services rushed to the TF-652 between Las Charifas y Las Galletas.

The Briton was declared dead on the spot.

Investigators probing the tragic incident believe Harry was killed in a ‘deliberate’ hit-and-run crash – with police still hunting for the alleged killer.

“Two ambulances, local police and Guardia Civil were all mobilised.”

They could only certify death for the person who was hit by the car when they got to the scene due to the injuries he sustained.
