Benalmadena, Spain is about to host a brand new art show that promises to engage the visitors on a sensory level. Titled ‘Sinestesia’, the show by the Malaga multidisciplinary artist Bosska (Ana Cortés) will open at the Centro de Exposiciones de Benalmadena on January 31 and run until April 24. It will be her first big exhibition of the year.
Bosska is a Malaga-based artist who was born in Alicante but has made the city her home. She brings an international perspective to her art. She spent seven-years in Mexico where she studied graphic design and began her illustration career. Her style is influenced by both Mexican art as well as Art Nouveau. It features bright colors, intricate symbolism and a unique approach that’s often called “the drawing inside the drawing.”
Around the world, massive murals are recognized.
Bosska is known for her large-scale murals. She has painted them in many locations in Spain including Malaga and Benidorm. Her nature and universe-inspired, vibrant creations also appear in Vancouver, London and Berlin. She has worked with brands, musicians, cultural entities, and music producers. She currently serves as the Fulanita Fest resident artist.
‘Sinestesia’ brings together more than twenty works, combining painting, digital drawing, sculpture, and site-specific installations that interact directly with the exhibition space. The show explores the phenomenon of synaesthesia—the blending of senses—inviting visitors to experience art in a fresh, immersive way. Bosska wants to link colours, feelings, and perceptions through these pieces. She encourages active participation and challenges conventional ways of seeing, feeling, and experiencing.
Recent works as well as retrospective
The show includes highlights of the artist’s career as well as new works, never before seen, created especially for this occasion. Curated by La Casa Amarilla and with the collaboration of El Hemisferio Derecho, ‘Sinestesia’ offers a contemporary, multisensory journey that highlights Bosska’s innovative approach to art.
This unique exhibition, located in Avenida Antonio Machado at the Centro de Exposiciones de Benalmadena invites both art lovers and those who are new to contemporary art to experience it.
