Marbella’s own pop and indie festival is back, this time extending to two days. Bella Festival will return to OMA Sound in order to continue a run which has attracted more than 10,000 attendees each of the festival’s first three appearances.
Who will be the victim of this year’s liar?
Fronting this year’s bill are Lori Meyers, Sexy Zebras and Niña Polaca, with Marlena and Mafalda Cardenal adding their own style to the day. El Verbo Odiado & Oslo Ovnies will be bringing a more rock n’ roll, electronic vibe, while Ochoymedio Djs will keep things upbeat between sets. The bill is open to new additions up until the very last minute, so music lovers could be treated to a few extra names before the show.
On Friday, 31st July, festival-goers receive an added bonus: Tardeo XXL. An open-air, opening party, DJs Pompa, and Petazeta Pop spin indie, pop and 90s/00s throwbacks. Summer hits, classic reggaeton and more. You will need to purchase a separate ticket if you only want to attend the Friday Warm Up Party.
Why Marbella continues to win the slot
OMA Sound has a large set up. The site in San Pedro de Alcantara is more than 80,000 sqm, which gives Bella Festival plenty of room to accommodate a large crowd without it feeling like a cattle pens. Mimo catering will be offering street food such as pulled pork burgers with fried onions, chicken burritos and pizzas. There is also a vegan menu featuring soyburgers, veggie burritos and nachos with Guacamole. The VIP area and chill-out zones make the event more of a night out, rather than just a series of sets. It’s a tried-and-tested formula that has been successful in three editions. Each one has seen attendance of five figures.
