Marbella Sports & Padel Club in Elviria arrived on the scene in 2023, an incredible, brand new, all-in-one sports venue that genuinely offers something for everyone. The club combines padel and ultra-modern, high-quality tennis courts. Fitness with the latest equipment, including a crossfit workout area outdoors. A shop with padel rackets and accessories. Full bar with coffees, drinks, soft drinks, and alcohol. Restaurant open for breakfast to dinner. You can come for the match, stay to work out, and then finish off with a relaxing drink or meal.
The club hosts social events, quiz nights, weekly mix-ins, and lessons taught by former professional players. It also hosts major padel tournaments and events.
The gym is not an addition, but a fully-equipped training area with the latest machines and equipment. There are both an indoor and an outdoor space. There are classes and personal training sessions with an award-winning trainer.
Online, people speculate about what happened and when it will reopen.
When will it be reopening, is the question. After a very brief time of opening, the club announced that it would be closed until further notice. Only the restaurant and bar remained open. After the initial announcement of the closure of the gym and tennis courts, the bar closed shortly thereafter. The closure of the bar and restaurant has led to a lot of speculation on social media, with residents asking about what happened. Some commenters speculated that the club was waiting for new licenses. Others speculated about possible noise concerns and permissions. In the same thread, other comments claimed that too many courts had been built too close to apartments. The members were also asking in groups where they could play their sport.
At present the gates leading down to the club remain firmly closed and chained up, the club’s website still displays a short notice stating it is ‘Closed till further notice’.
