Torremolinos hosts joint exhibition by street art masters Lalone and Nesui: ‘Médula’

Elena Laverón Exhibition Hall at the Centro Cultural Pablo Ruiz Picasso in Torremolinos has just inaugurated Médula, another collaborative exhibition by famed urban artists Lalone and Nesui.

This free exhibition marks a momentous occasion for the local arts scene, as it brings together two of the most prominent figures in Spanish street-art.

Street art created specially for the inside

The exhibition features 14 original mixed-media works created specifically for this joint project, including breathtaking pieces such as Sinestesia, Cerrando puertas, Dominio, Impulso, and Motín. By creating compositions full of light, motion, and vibrant colour, the artists want to showcase the power and dynamism that street art has as a discipline.

Lalone’s real name is Eduardo Luque. A Malaga native, Lalone began painting around the end of the 1990s. He won the Liga Nacional de Graffiti 2021. A versatile artist, his style blends comic book aesthetics and illustration with realism. Murals by Lalone can be found in Malaga, Madrid Amman London and Berlin. Lalone’s murals have been featured by major brands including the Los 40 Principales Radio Station, Cirque du Soleil and Cruzcampo. One of his works has also been named as one of the 25 Best Murals in the World by the prestigious Streetartcities platform.

Nesui is a 20-year veteran artist, who was born Guillermo Paz and lives in Torremolinos. In addition to his hyper-realistic portraits, murals, and landscapes, he is also an expert in impressionism. His large-scale works adorn streets in Malaga, Huelva, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, La Coruña, Granada, and beyond, with international projects in Equatorial Guinea and Honduras. Nesui has worked with global giants including Netflix, Disney, Marvel, and El Corte Inglés and has received accolades such as the Liga Nacional de Graffiti, Vicar Street Art, and Galicia Crea awards.

Médula – Second dual show by Nesui and Lalone on the Costa del Sol

Médula, the show, runs until March 27. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 2pm and from 3pm to 8pm, as well as on Saturdays between 9am and 2pm. Admission is always free.

This show celebrates street art’s progression from urban walls to galleries, bringing two accomplished trajectories together in a collaborative, fresh exploration of color and form. The Centro Cultural Pablo Ruiz Picasso is on Dirección: Calle de la Cruz, 42, Torremolinos.
