ChefsForChildren 2026 – 60 Michelin-starred chefs teach kids that healthily eating can be fun

ChefsForChildren, the charity event where gastronomy meets charity, will once again bring together 60 Michelin starred chefs from across Spain. Their mission is to teach children about the benefits of eating healthy while raising funds for kids with rare diseases.

Already in its eighth year, the initiative is scheduled for April 20 at the luxurious Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavis Marbella Resort in Benahavís, Malaga province. The day includes interactive cooking classes for children, a gastronomic discussion, and a final charity gala dinner to benefit the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases.

Sabor is a Malaga gastroforum launchpad

Francisco Salado, president of the Malaga Provincial Council, presented the event at the Sabor de Malaga stand during the H&T tourism fair. He called it “a project which unites talent and professionalism with gastronomy health, solidarity, commitment to childhood, and solidarity.” Salado thanked the elite group for their participation, stating that Malaga was fortunate to have so many Michelin-starred restaurants and chefs. He said that the chefs and restaurants were always willing to show their talent, as well as their generosity.

Through its support via the Sabor a Malaga brand, the Diputación contributes to FEDER’s efforts in research, visibility, and social awareness of rare diseases. At the same time, Malagueña products will play a starring role throughout the programme, promoting their exceptional quality, sustainability, and excellence.

ChefsForChildren’s motto, “Comer Sano es Divertido”, reinforces their commitment to nutrition education for children and assistance for those with rare diseases. Renowned Spanish chefs lending their support include Toño Pérez, Benito Gómez, Mario Cachinero, José Carlos García, Dani Carnero, Diego Gallegos, Mauricio Giovanini, Israel Ramos, and Andrea Tumbarello, among others.

This year, the collaboration with FEDERThe nonprofit, which represents over 400 associations in Spain, is working to improve the quality of life for those with rare diseases, as well as their families. The organization promotes research, inclusion and access to treatments as well as solidarity in order to create a fairer world.

Two special cooking workshops are being planned as a prelude for the main event: one on 9 February at Le Cordon Bleu, Madrid, and another on 16 March at Bodegas Emilio Moro, Valladolid.
