Cuevas Balcones de Piedad is located at 1,200m in the Geopark of Granada Province. It looks similar to the Santorini-style small houses.

Cuevas Balcones de Piedad are located in Los Balcones. This town is famous for its caves. The cave houses offer all the modern comforts and have a temperature that is stable between 19C and 22C. They also feature an infinity swimming pool in one of the caverns.

“We are in a geologically very interesting place, next to the Arroyo del Baúl, at an altitude of 1,200 metres and in a very deep canyon,” Juan Yeste, manager of Cuevas Balcones de Piedad, explained to SUR’s sister newspaper Ideal.

Our caves, located in a unique location, are ideal for anyone looking to relax.

Juan began buying caves around the area in 1998 and slowly restored them. He has now been renting out these caves for over a decade. He explains that the caves are rented as if you were renting an apartment at the beach.

Our caves, being in such a special location, are ideal for those who want to relax and disconnect. There is no reception here or restaurant, only a place to relax in a private way. “, explains Juan. The caves are currently available for rent at around 130 euros per day, depending on their type.

Juan explains that, although he is currently renting out only five caves at this time, he has eight caves in total. While he is aware that many people like to come during the summer months, particularly for the swimming pool, he prefers the fall and winter. He concluded, “I enjoy it more out of season.
