The National Police Station of Estepona has opened the second edition of the charity race “Ruta 091”, which is scheduled to take place in the coastal city on November 9.
Proceeds will be donated to “Paula y la fabrica de medula,” an association that promotes blood and marrow donation in Andalusia among youth, as well as providing support for families of children with cancer.
The official poster, as well as the T-shirts of the participants, were presented to those attending the grand presentation. They are a symbol of the day, which was a mixture of charity, sport, and community spirit.
A fun event for All Ages
The “Ruta 091”, organized by Estepona Townhall and backed up by a number of local businesses, will start and end at Mirador del Carmen. The organizers expect 700 participants to include adults and children.
The children’s event starts at 10am and is limited to 200 participants. The adult race will follow, with 500 runners expected in two formats. A popular race and walk. Both cover approximately five kilometers through Estepona’s pedestrianised streets to minimize traffic disruptions.
Medals, prizes, and other extra activities
The top three finishers of both the male and female categories in adult categories will receive prizes. While supplies last, every child participant will get a commemorative award.
