PG Golf & Sports Academy International Pro-Am, led by renowned Swedish coach Peter Gustafsson, returns to La Reserva Club in Sotogrande from October 20 to 23, 2025, with an elite crossover of competitive golf, luxury networking, and skill-building clinics.
The exclusive event, now in its seventh year, has grown into a global draw, with 2024’s event celebrating a 20 per cent attendance spike and €500,000 in local economic impact. The Pro-Am is held at the prestigious La Reserva Club on a Cabell-Robinson-designed course. It brings together top PGA professionals and amateurs. Business leaders, celebrities such as Henrik Stenson and past winners like Jesper Parnevik attend.
These pro-am tournaments feature unique elements, such as biomechanics workshops and drone swing analyses that will improve short-game accuracy in 2024 by 15%. The event also supports the Sotogrande Foundation, raising €150,000 in 2024 for youth sports programmes, improving its community impact.
Amateurs with a handicap under 24 can apply via the academy’s website, requiring a €2,500 entry fee that covers pro pairings, coaching, and gala access. Early bird registration opens in January 2025. The application includes a video demonstrating golf passion. The availability is limited to 25 teams, and it will run out fast. Sponsors, from luxury brands to tech firms, can access packages from €5,000 to €50,000, offering logo placement and VIP experiences.
Golf World ranked Sotogrande as Europe’s number one golf destination in 2024, thanks to its pristine golf courses and Mediterranean climate. The 2024 reviews show that attendees enjoyed networking dinners, charitable auctions, as well as a 92/100 score of satisfaction.
