Psychedelic Furs to bring their iconic post-punk sound to Malaga

Psychedelic Furs bring their iconic post punk sound to Malaga

The Psychedelic furs were formed in 1977 in London’s post punk scene. Led by charismatic singer and songwriter Richard Butler, along with Tim Butler on bass, they have created a legacy in music that is a bit more left-field.

The band’s timeless hits include “Love My Way”, Heaven, “The Ghost In You”, Heartbreak Beat and “Heaven”. Made of Rain is their eighth studio album. It was their triumphant comeback after nearly 30 years since their previous release, World Outside (1991). The album was a hit with both critics and fans. It topped lists like Uncut, Classic Pop and Mojo and reached high UK charts.

After sold-out shows across Spain, Psychedelic Furs are coming to Malaga

Costa del Sol fans can expect a thrilling performance in Malaga, at the La Trinchera venue. The Furs’ tour of Spain in September 2024, which featured sold-out performances in Valencia and Bilbao as well as Madrid and Barcelona, has proven that their energy on stage is as strong as ever. Richard Butler is the frontman of this current lineup, which includes Tim Butler on bass and Rico Good (guitar), Amanda Kramer(keyboards), Zachary Alford(drums). The sound continues to be raw with romantic undertones. The Psychedelic Furs concerts continue to resonate a bittersweet feeling that has defined their impact from the start, grabbing audiences by both hands with a fresh intensity and a hint of nostalgia.

This Malaga stop will feature their entire back catalogue, including both older and more recent tracks. This is a unique opportunity for those who are looking to hear a bit of 80s shoegaze or new-wave.
