San Pedro Alcantara Feria celebrates Andalusian spirit in Marbella – What’s on, when?

Feria y Fiestas San Pedro Alcantara is a celebration that honours the patron saint of the Marbella district. The town will be transformed into a street party from October 20 to November 1.

The week-long festival, which is held in the Recinto Ferial de La Caridad, spills out into the streets of San Pedro, combining historic Andalusian tradition with fun for the whole family, a touch of flamenco, and vibrant entertainment. This feria, which is rooted in San Pedro’s agricultural heritage from the 19th century, offers a vibrant mix of religious reverences, equestrian displays, and modern celebrations, drawing both locals and visitors to celebrate the community and culture.

The festival kicks off on Tuesday, October 14, with a rousing opening pregón speech by flamenco singer Juanjo Alcantara at 9pm at Rotonda Maria del Carmen Alvarez Mora, followed by a dazzling lighting ceremony, a performance by Juanlu Montoya, and the coronation of the feria’s royalty, including the Reina, Rey, Damas, and Miss Simpatía.

On Wednesday, October 15th, seniors can enjoy luncheons or dances that are tailored to those over 60.

On Thursday, October 16th, “Dia de la Mujer”, a celebration of women’s contribution to the local culture, will be celebrated with flamenco shows and contests.
